Storage Buildings
Simple, durable storage in any size

Overview
Residential and commercial storage in any size or configuration — built to last with door placements and add-ons tailored to what you're actually storing.
Storage buildings sound simple, but the details matter. Door placement, ceiling height, ventilation, lighting, and electrical prep all change depending on what you're storing. A building for an RV needs different door dimensions than one for a tractor, which needs different specs than one for boxes and seasonal gear.
We design every storage build around the contents and the workflow. That means measuring your equipment, thinking through how you'll move things in and out, and choosing materials and finishes that will hold up to the way you'll actually use the space.
From simple backyard structures to large-scale commercial storage facilities, we handle the full process — design, permits, materials, construction, and final walkthrough. Built by the owners, fully permitted, fully insured.

Things to Consider
Plan ahead, build once
A few details to think through before you start. We'll walk through all of these on your consultation.
- 01
Door height is the most common spec people get wrong — measure the tallest item with a few feet of clearance.
- 02
If you're storing vehicles or anything with fluids, plan for proper concrete floor and drainage.
- 03
Insulation isn't always needed for storage but matters if you'll spend time inside or store temperature-sensitive items.
- 04
Sliding vs. overhead doors changes cost and access — we'll help you pick the right setup for your use.
Frequently Asked
Common questions about storage
How much does a storage building cost?
+
Basic post-frame storage buildings start around $20–$30 per square foot fully constructed. Adding insulation, electrical, larger doors, or commercial-grade specs raises the price. A 30x40 simple storage building typically runs $30,000–$50,000 in Northern Colorado.
What size storage building do I need for an RV?
+
Most travel trailers and Class C motorhomes fit in a 14'-tall door with a 36' or 40' deep building. Class A motorhomes typically need 14' clearance and 45'+ of depth. Bring your RV's exact dimensions and we'll size the building correctly with comfortable clearance.
Do I need a permit for a storage building?
+
Most counties in Northern Colorado require permits for any structure over 200 square feet. We pull permits as part of every build and handle the inspections. Backyard sheds under 200 sq ft sometimes don't require permits but always check your specific jurisdiction.
Can you add electricity to my storage building?
+
We rough-in for electrical and coordinate with licensed electricians for the actual wiring and panel work. That keeps everything code-compliant and properly inspected without bottlenecking the build.
